I have never tried cable either, but that will all change May 09. They are opening one up in Cincinnati! How difficult are they compared to the boat?

The cable is very easy. The corners are the trickiest part when you first ride the cable. Too far in and you get slack in the rope and a jerk when it takes up. Too far out and you get a hard jerk without the slack.

Since most cables favor a right foot forward rider, a left foot rider that has trouble with a toe side cut can find it difficult to get into the right position to navigate the corner. However, that mostly applies to new wakeboarders.

TSR is the closest to Cali. Rumor is San Diego or Fresno might be putting one in. Also, there is talk of getting one up in Sac but I dont' think that will ever happen.

I'm stoked as hell, they're opening up a cable park ten minutes from where I live. Can't wait to finally try one out.

Sorry it's on the opposite end of the country from you David....

Hell yeah for Wakenskate and Smith Mountain Lake. The wake scene is exploding here.

Nick, Ive been hearing rumors of that for some time now..is it finally official, and when will it be opening?

Was supposedly opening up next year, not sure about that though. They were digging out the lake around the time that I was helping put up rails for the wakenskate rail jam at the beginning of July, and Micah (owner of wakenskate) kept talking about it, because it's his baby.

As far as I know though, the zoning permits have been approved and all, and as long as the project doesn't go bankrupt like a lot of construction projects in the area, it's definitely happening.

Nope, scratch that. Apparently it fell through. Which is a big shocker. Actually not really. Damnit.

Oh well.
