Does anyone know what it takes to drain the MC LQ9 Cadillac engine? It's a closed-cooling system, so I wouldn't think that it would take much.

To drain an LQ9 you need-
1 - Bucket
1 - Piece of garden hose 5' long
1 - Funnel
7 - Rolls of paper towels
3-8 - Buddys watching to criticize if you mess up that 8k dollar engine.
Good Luck!!

If you are reffering to "winterize" the engine, there is a plug on the bottom of the heat exchanger that you remove, and un-do the crossover hoses on the exhaust manifolds. That will get the majority of water out of it.
