Anyone live near Kingsley lake? I tried to call the Kingsley beach campground, and the number I have is not working. I cant find it on the computer anymore either.
Was wondering if its closed.

If someone could get me the phone number that would be great.

I am pretty sure they have finally closed after they sold the property a year ago. If you are military, they have accessible camping areas and the only boat launch onto the water now. Hope this helps. The only way I can get on that lake is if I bring my father with me or visit my friends lakehouse. Good luck with your search.

Brian is right. I live on the lake and I have to get my Grandfather or one of my buddies in the Guard just to get to the boat ramp. There used to be Strickland's Landing and Kingsley Beach, but a group of developers bought both of them and are planning a housing development. You can read about it at www.kingsleylake.org it is on the comments board. If you're ever down at the lake send me a message. I go to UCF now, but I go up a lot. I'll be there this weekend.

Also, there is an annual pass you can buy through Camp Blanding to use the ramp, but I'm not sure about the requirements to get one. You may have to own property on the lake, but I'd give them a call.

Lake Santa Fe is near there. Great big lake. Not as windy as Kingsley in my opinion.

Yea, Kingsley has gone to a private lake. Only land owners and military are allowed access to the ramp. I have a few friends that have property, and the lake is fun, but there are nicer lakes nearby. Lake Santa Fe is nice, but I like Lake Kerr. It's in Salt Springs, outside Ocala, and doens't have the boat traffic that the other lakes have. Most people don't even know it exists.
