Can any of guys show me pics or give me some ideas where to put/hang my iPod? When in use, it is hooked to a cord - kind of nice because when it is hooked up, it recharges. Right now I either throw it at my feet or put it in my cupholder at my feet (which is usually occupied by a cold beverage). The other day, one of my crew nearly totalled it by stepping on it. Small problem, but it is annoying the bejesus out of me!!

I glued a magnet to the backside of the ipod and place one on the side window in the black tint part
easy to grab and store

Get a velcro strap and hang it from the tower?

I'm not sure if putting a magnet on a portable hard drive is actually such a good idea. How does that not wipe the ipod's memory?

My Centurion Typhoon has a pocket right under the radio on the left kick panel So i just plug it up, slide it in the pocket, and forget about it.

I cut a hole in the cup holder at the drivers side cup holder and ran the interface cable through it. It's always outta of the way while still being easily accessible.

I got an IPod case for the gym that has one of those straps that goes around your arm. I took the strap off and used a piece of plexiglass through the back of the case and screwed it to the outside of the speaker box cover. I use an iDrive so I dont need to access the iPod. It just makes a nice spot to store it and it keeps the cupholder open for cold beverages....

I put one of those on my dash... love it - doesn't look cheap and is really solid.

Good ideas. I do not want to stash the IPod on my right side because everyone is constantly grabbing it and changing up the tunes. I tried the velcro route but that did not work - AZ heat melted the adhesive into goo. Any more ideas out there?

Did you look at this specific model?

http://thoughtout.biz/FlexPED

It has a flex arm with a really solid mount attached.

Fro -so far I am onto your idea. That's a sweet setup where you can swing it to the person grabbing the Pod. Pricey, but less costly than replacing a Pod that has just been stepped on.
