Ryan, I agree with you all up until you said edge hard... One of the biggest things that helped me on my toeside was not edging "hard", just progressively. A lot of people think edging hard means just digging the piss out of your cut, which will end up adding a TON of tension on the landing. I would say to make sure that you keep the rope tight to your hip, and edge through the wake with BOTH hands, but don't edge "hard," as it will probably inhibit learning.
