video game making software

i'm 13 and have about 5 years to kill, so I think i could make something cool. I know a bunch about making video games, but I also know that i need some software. I was thinking of making a wakeboarding game and a paintball game with a pro shop... anyway, can anybody help me???

Do a search for DarkBasic. It's designed for making games and there are lots of programming examples.
