Time to pick your minds again. I've got a 99 xstar and gas gauge needs to be adjusteed. When it is at half full the tank is empty. It used to work fine until recently. Is there a way to adjust the gauge and do you know how to do it. Gracias amigos, Later.

If it used to work, then more than likely the sender is probably broken. Usually not that hard to replace provided you can get access to the fuel tank. Once you gain access to the tank you can remove the sender and pull it out and accuate the unit to see if it's broken or you need to bend the arm to make it accurate to your liking.

I have a 99 205V same as the xstar and the same thing happens to me. Usually what happens is the sending unit gets stck in the middle. Wat you need to do is take out the center pannel. Its the one with the access to the bildge area. Once the pannel is removed you will see the gas tank. The huge metal circle in the middle is the sneding unit fuel pumps and all that together. Take a rubber hammer and gently tap around the area. Oh make sure the tank is full of gas. Thaksk way when you unstick the sending unit it will float to the top of the tank and everything is fixed. This happened once or twice to me and the dealer showed me how to fix it. The dealer said it happens when you dont keep gas in the boat and let it sit for more than a couple of days
