My db9 board, girls saphire board and my wakesurf board got stolen. Keep you eye out for these boards. In orange county.

Sorry to hear that. What year DB9 and what size? Did it have boots on it? Keep an eye on Craigslist, often they pop up.

I think I found you boards on ebay. One seller is selling all three of these right now. I tried to message you but it didn't work. the_music_depot is the seller.

IDK who you can contact about this, but you'd better get on it.

Looks like your stuff was pawned. The seller is a local pawn shop in Huntington Beach. Hopefully you filed a police report, it looks like you might be able to get HBPD to the shop before the auctions are up. Good luck and hope they can nab the d-bag that took your stuff...

Has anyone contacted the seller yet? Someone should inform them they are selling stolen goods on the OP's behalf since he seems to not be around anymore.

Looks like the OP deleted their account. Can Dave maybe pull an e mail address from the old account to contact the guy? I really really despise thieves and would love to see the guy get his stuff back.

Ya, **** this guy. I hope he gets what he deserves. If the Ebay seller didn't know he was buying stolen goods, then I feel bad for him as well.

Just checked ebay, the boards were taken down.

They probably deleted it for any potential legal issues in the case that they press charges. If the boards were taken down, then it's likely the OP got justice. Nice job, Internet.

If you could prove with receipts/SN# to the police it would be the pawn shop that is SOL.

I have a buddy in the pawn business and actually if the pawn shop pays for the items, they have to sit for at least 30 days before they can be shown to be sold, that time is to see if its stolen or whatnot. like if there is a police report then the popo can check pawn shops, AND if the police come get them, the original owner gets the merchandise and the pawn shop is out the money. that's why they are so careful about asking you where you got it, how long have you had it. all that jazz. i know that's how it works in several states...

definitely not friends with chum lee.... and it probably would be a lot cooler if i were.... I don't think he makes it down to Mississippi much haha. but yea i've seen on that show where they have to wait 30 or 45 days something like that too.

Nice!! Happy you got your stuff back.

Seems that by selling your stuff back to you the Pawn Shop has now committed the crime of knowingly selling stolen goods.
Old     (john211)      Join Date: Aug 2008       05-11-2012, 1:14 PM Reply
Whether the goods were stolen or not (if ever known), will require ... not an edict of a truth panel ... but a simple judgment of court. The pawn shop merely took the convenience of settling the matter ... in the absence of a court decision ... by turning over the goods at the amount of purchase without ever knowing (1) the truth or (2) the likely court decision if the goods were stolen or not ... in front of a well-informed trier of fact.

The sad aspect is that, this wrong can be righted ... by skillful lawyers ... at a price that is too high to justify for this minor-dollar amount of purported theft.

Right when I saw the DB9 it made me think of this post. I reread the post and then found out the seller was selling all three. I couldn't believe it. It was crazy I stumbled upon it. I'm happy to hear he got all three back.

How did your boards get stolen?

Thanks everyone! Man my time is worth more than it cost me to get my stuff back. But in a perfect world the guy would have just given me my stuff back. But the positive out of it all is that the power of wakeworld networking prevailed!! Steal our stuff and we will track you down.

My boards got stolen from a storage i have. Brought my boat home to change the oil and unloaded them in the storage. Went to parker, Az, forgot to load my boards. Got home a boards were gone! I had a bag of riding gear with over a grand in it, the board bags, two brand new wetsuits, they just snatched the boards.
