I have a Kicker ZR1000 amp at home that i want to use in the boat but i want to ask you which subwoofer you guys recommend yo use with my amp. I got a 1 square foot box and its at my driver's feet. i dont want to spend to much money as well.

If it's the stock sub it should be a RF 12" sub not a 10". If you want to reuse the stock enclosure you're wasting your time. It's not going to sound to great with a high powered sub in it, it will flex.

For $250 you can pick up an Image Dynamics IDQ dual 4 ohm 12" sub over at woofersetc.com and they say that sub will take 1000 watts rms all day long. 1 cu ft is the small sealed enclosure they recommend for that sub as well.

Slide out the enclosure add some screws and silicone the inside edges. You should be good with that.

It's not that it's not air tight, it probably is. The material itself will flex which is bad for sub box sound quality. Don't get me wrong it won't sound horrible. You could always try it and see how it would sound. It just won't sound as good as a properly built fiberglass or MDF constructed box. That is the first thing us BU owners ditch when we're re-doing our stereos.

Wet Sounds XS-12 is also a pretty good woofer.

Whatever sub you get you'll need a dual 4 ohm sub to get the 1000 watts out of your amp. If you run it at 4 ohms it's only going to put out 500 watts. 500 watts for most subs will sound nice.

Yup but how will you use the stock enclosure with the round hole cut in it?

You could always do their cvx supposedly very similar to the L7 subs.

yeah ill check them, maybe if i put the 12 inch kicker solobaric and if i have a 10 inch now my round hole will become a square one without a problem at all, but 10inch for 10 inch can be a problem...

You can cut the round hole to be square. I did it in another box.
