mercruiser electronic conversion?

any body know anything about this? replaces points\condenser with a solid state circuit. availible through overtons. cheap conversion just wanting to know if any one has used such a beast?

I hear they are better than points. I might be changing my distributor over to electronic this weekend.

I've done it on cars, money very well spent. Easy to do yourself and makes the thing start, idle and run a LOT better. Points are OK if they are set perfectly, which doesn't last long as they wear. If I had a boat with points, I'd swap them for electronic first thing.
