They had the Worlds in OKC in 2008. Pretty cool that they are holding the cable comp at the same time. Problem is by the time you've paid all the registration and entry fees the prize money probably won't cover your outlay.

The "USA Wakeboard" Nationals are being held in OKC. That isn't the same as WWA, which is the sanctioning body for the pro wakeboard tour. According to the King of Wake website, the location of Nationals is still listed as "TBD."

I don't know anything about minneapolis, but OKC is the windiest place on earth. Both times we have been there the conditions were almost un-rideable, (at least on the days that the girls rode).

Agreed, Mike....not to mention spectators can't really get to the water (unless you like rock climbing) and it was 100+ degrees when there weren't 30 mph winds and there were large boats driving parallel to the course.

I havent been to OKC, but why does the pro wakeboard tour continue to go to venues where people cant spectate? Shouldnt that be one of the first things they look at when they evaluate a site? The water conditions are usually mediocre at best. I dont feel like it would be hard to find a site with less than perfect conditions where people can watch.....but thats probably for another thread.

How is it possible that with 4 months to go, they dont even have a venue? wow.
