Just picked up a "new to me" boat. I am still a Supra fan and you will probably see me back in a supra again, but I got a deal I could not pass up. This is a pretty sweet boat and just got it on the water yesterday to test it out and I am stoked.
07 Malibu LSV loaded and with the hammerhead.

Thanks jonnywakelv for the racks. If anyone has a cover or a mirror that they are looking to sell cheap let me know.

Sweet. Is that the silver addition that was listed on the world for a steal?
Old    pdxWAKE.com            03-27-2009, 10:44 AM Reply
Thanks guys.
Randy,
I thought the silver edition was actually just on the VLX and has the silver flake in the gel? It does say Silver on the steering wheel and when you start it up.
Not sure about it listed on the world? What is that?

BAD A$$. I have a feeling after this boat you wont be so quick to jump back into a Supra. Not that Supra's are a bad boat, they are just as good. I feel a Bu Lsv and Supra are pretty darn equal.

I would flip that trailer hitch upside down though to even out the trailer. It will make for a better pull

Congrats. Love the all black.

+1. Definitely flip that trailer hitch. If that is too high get a straight receiver with no drop.

Very nice. What do you mean "its says silver when you start it up" Does it actually talk to you, or are you just dreaming?

Very nice.

Looks like you need a taller hitch. Trailer doesn't look level.

Yeah the hitch is from my old truck. I have one with a shorter drop that I will need to switch out to.
Hate N Pain,
Yes I was able to put almost my whole stereo system from my 21V into this and also able to re uses the wheels and tires.
Kevin K,
"6 beers, 6 tics and my tab right away mam"
Bruce,
Not sure if it is the same boat? Do you have a link to it?
Yes it is true what they say about black. I have been itching to get back to black. Now I need another black truck.

Put a tiny prop and an insane amount of weight in it and go riding: take two pairs of shorts, you will need them.

You said you have a hitch with a shorter drop, you should probably just flip that one upside down. Add some helper bags while you're at it. They work wonders for saggy Chevy suspensions.

Greg,
Keep up on pdxwake.com and next clear day lets do it. Drop me a line.

Rick,
Ha ha. Thanks for posting. I feel a little dirty myself and debated on sharing pics, but this thing is pretty. I have been chatting with Matt at Active Water Sports and I am sure I will be back soon enough. This deal was just too sweet as he can attest. I told him I will always listen though and put this baby up for sale.
I still am a big fan of AWS and Skiers Choice as you know!
D Dub,
Yeah truck is gone too. I actually miss it.

FYI the Silver Edition boats from Malibu are only the 07' VLX and Responses.

Good looking boat, I too slipped into a Malibu this year for a deal almost too good to be true. I really like my VLX. Regarding your mirror request, check out the Samson Mirror for the Illusion towers. I picked one up and I really like it. Thought you might be interested. Enjoy your new ride and the additional space you have now that the rear compartments are avaiable to you for storage instead of ballast bags. Boat looks great.
Old    pdxWAKE.com            03-31-2009, 5:42 PM Reply
Michael,
Do you have your old factory mirror you want to get rid of?
I actually like the bags on the supra better cause I could have 2300+ lbs of ballast all plumbed and hidden with just an easy swap out. Now I will have to either re-plumb or deal with filling bags. Either way I will have bags back there, but will now have to take the time to fill them independently. Oh well I will get over it.

How do most people weight the LSV? The boat has the 4 ballast tanks and the power wedge. I have an additional 300 lbs in lead and then 900 lbs in bags.
I was thinking getting the 300 in lead up front and then put the bags in the rear compartments and try to move people forward. Is that going to be too heavy in the back?
Thanks all!
Old     (05mobiuslsv)      Join Date: Apr 2006       03-31-2009, 6:13 PM Reply
Diggs if you want you can plumb in the bags so they fill off your ballast switches.

The bu's like weight up front, if you have several people in the boat I'd concentrate the weight more towards the bow and not the rear lockers. Put the lead up front whatever you do, you can tuck it away in the gunnels in the bow. The 900 in the rear will be fine if you don't have the wedge down, with the wedge down and the 900 extra back there that wake will be really steep. Maybe that's what you want.

Talk to D Halsey he gots the combo for the weight on that boat.
