I was wanting to see the difference in wakes of several different boat we are considering. Post a pic, ballast setup and speed. We are considering the new VLX, LSV, old 210, new 210, 220, and possibly the new air 230. I thought it would be a cool way to compare.

95' Supersport - (old 210) Weighted to be more rampy, less vert --> 440 lbs each side of engine (880 rear) - ~650/~750 front (don't know exactly how much) --> 2 in the boat --> 23 m.p.h.

Even w/o a ton of weight still really firm, but you can really take the vert out of a 210 w/ lots of bow weight

Pictures of wakes on the internet is really a waste of time. I have ridden behind boats with wakes that looked fantastic only to be completely disappointed. On the other hand I have seen wakes that looked fairly unimpressive then found myself getting booted way up beyond my expectations. There is no substitute for actual riding behind a wake. I would listen to verbal descriptions from experienced riders before I would make any judgement from a picture.

my $0.02

go with the malibu lsv. with very little effort you can make the wake as steep or mellow as you want without saccraficing firmness of the wake. just load the stock ballast up, and from there you can push a button and adjust the power wedge to whatever setting you want to give the wake a huge lip or long ramp. my personal setting is 2 clicks up from the bottom with full ballast and the boat full of cold beverages and lots of people

Here is the 08 LSV wake from Mike Duvall's boat from another thread with no ballast, "a little wedge", and 3 people in the boat. Not bad.Upload

Alright then give descriptions and pics if you have them. I would test ride them but it's 20 degrees outside. How does the old 210 stack up to the new 210 and 220. Wake characteristically anyway. I plan on riding behind an 08 LSV for a New Years day ride so that should be pretty sweet.

I have a new 236 which is the same as the 230. It has a flat transition to the wake and is more rampy that the 210 I used to own. I don't have any pics but this wake is awesome . All the guys around here that had 220's are upgrading to the 230. the interior is huge with lots of storage and the surf wake is huge. Good Luck with your search. The 230 will leave nothing to be desired

Here's a shot of the 220. Stock ballast, 3 people in the boat:

Rider is ~ 5' 7" and is 75' out (I think).

Yes. I can tell by the pixels and from having seen quite a few shops in my day.
