I'm 51 years old, and I stink at wake boarding. After wakeboarding the past weekend, we did some surfing (which I have done before). I came to realize, this is what I should be doing. Easier on the body, no hard crashes. Some of the guys that wakeboard at my lake don't want anything to do with surfing.

My next question would be, what is a good V-drive boat @ $25,000. I presently have a 1998 Mastercraft PS205. Would really like to get into a V-drive with a good surf wake.

Yeah you can get an older avy for around 25k if you look hard. Or maybe an old typhoon.

Tige 24V, 22V, or older 21V produce great surf wakes. I got a 2001 Tige 21V for under $20k last year and it has a very nice surf wake when weighted properly (in my opinion). A Centurion Avalanche would be a good boat also.

Here is a pic of my surfwake

I surf my avy and a tige 22v. Both are great boats and great surf boats.

Check out http://boat.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/boat.cgi?cat=boa&itm=

It's a great craigslist boat searching tool. Just put in the make and then model.

I just posted my Cyclone for sale on only inboards a little above that range. Its a great boat, and throws a nasty wave on both sides. Check out DJJamez pictures on here for what he pushes his cyclone to do. For a little boat, she'll do a lot of damage.
