I've got a '02 Sanger DLX that I am replacing the steering cable on. I got the new cable and went to install it and noticed that the "plastic" grooved ball that locates it at the rear is worn. It is the part that connects the cable to the support bracket mounted in front of the rudder and keeps it from moving. Now, I have no idea what it is called or if all boats have it or not, but I am trying to locate one on Iboats or westmarine with no luck. It is there to allow the angle of the steering cable to change as the rudder is turned from one side to the other. By the way it is a teleflex system. Anyone that has been through this before? I'd really appreciate the name or a location I could find the part. Thanks in advance. Everytime I see my boat lately, all taken apart, I can't help but think its time for a new one.
