I've got a 98 - same hull. I recently added the manual-adjustable wakeplate. We run 1400 lbs of ballast, 350 on each side of the engine, and 600 to 700 in the bow walk-thru. No floor locker in this model.

The wake is really nice up to 75 to 80 feet back in the 23-24mph range. big and rampy. the wakeplate helped it firm up, shape up. My son and his pals do some huge inverts off this wake. Any trick they can throw, they can do with this wake. The other boat they go behind is a sacked out 03 SANTE, and yes, that wake is a little bigger and steeper. Hard to give you a comparison beyond that. Ride behind it and see what you think.

the wake may not be as big as some, but i have found that it is very solid.

Here is a picture of my wake. I have that same boat and have been really happy with it. Still toying with weight - likes more up front - but the attached picture has center ballast full (250 lbs) 150lbs in front, 300 in the rear plus 4 people in the boat. speed is 22 rider is at 65ft.. check out my profile also. center ballast full and 8 people in the boat. speed is 21, riders at 70 and 75 ft.. My son really likes the vert lip. He likes to do inverts and 360's and the lip will just buck you right up.I prefer more of a bu like ramp and can take a bit of the vert out of the wake by adjusting the hydraulic wakeplate down...but still not like a Bu. Great boat for the money.
