I just picked up a Comp X 5'0" for myself and a 4.5 for my son. Any chance of me getting up on the 4'5". I am 6'2" and 195lbs. This season will be my first time wakesurfing and I can't wait. I have done alot of windsurfing in the past.

Hey Peter, You should be able to ride the 4.5, though you are on the upper limit of that board. Start with the 5.0 and as your skills progress you can go to the 4.5. You might need the 4' sidebites on the 4.5 to give you extra drive. We can work out the setup when we go out .

"4' sidebites " I had to Dennis - 4 FOOT sidebites? That would give some drive

Ya please do. I'm coaching UC Merced Lacrosse team so my weekends for the next month or so are sucked up by that but otherwise I'm always down to get out on the water.

Now is that a skim style or a surf style board. It looks awfully short to be a surf style but I am not really positive on the Surf - Skim style regulations since they change once a month????

Did you strap one of each or both Bullets? What tricks are you planing with the strapped models?

there was a little mis-communication on which bullet to strap so they both ended up being strapped. One of the bullets is 19" rail to rail, was wanting something aggressive and responsive. I have snowboarded for years so the board hooked to my feet feels second nature. Really i think of it as training wheels to learn new tricks like bs 3's with grabs, just trying to speed up my learning curve. All you guys have more summer out there.

really icy this year, small town, probably know him or at least seen him around. wakesurfing is taking this state by storm, i witnessed more surfing than boarding by the end of last summer. i finally understand the beach bum mentality. on another note, Walker does an outstanding job with his boards, willing to customize to whatever you want. the paint on these boards are insane. they ride even better. thanks mike (Message edited by bentone on April 01, 2008)

Finally rode the new Walker on Saturday at McClure. Water was pretty low, about 68 degrees F. The board is awesome. I love it. That's all there is to say about that.

Didn't really get a chance to rip, yet. Next trip, I'll get some pics for sure. This trip was mostly, just get the boat back into the water. Tool around a bit. We had a bunch of little kids from the neighborhood with us. But, I couldn't not ride it once we were out there. I was the only one that rode the entire day. Our regular crew couldn't make it out, so we just grabbed all the neighborhood kids for a little spin. They dug it out on the boat for sure. I'll definitely get some pics next time out.
