PCM in a Sanger?

I was at the lake (Bartlett Res.) in Cave Creek this morning getting in a couple of runs and I met a guy named John Blazcock (he said I could post it), he has a 05' Sanger V210 that he said he bought in San Diego new this year. He was pulling it out of the water and was checking the oil. Since I am considering this boat for myself I asked if I could check it out. I helped him wipe it down and found that he had a PCM excalibur engine in it. I told him that Sanger's don't come with PCM engines. He simply state that his did. I personally saw this and am not mistaken. Does Sanger offer a PCM upgrade? If so where do I go to get one? Has anyone else seen this?

NE1? So was this some custom thing or maybe he had the PCM plastic cover on the engine....He was really vague on the deal...

I have their catelogue in front of me and it says Sanger specifiec Merc power exclusively

personally never seen anything different than a mercruiser in a sanger...

I've seen a Sanger DX with a PCM. The factory will pretty much set the boats up as you like it; not a Merc fan then they'll plunk in a PCM, or Indmar for ya.

Really? I can get a PCM in a new Sanger? That's best news I have heard today!!

Darren, you'll sink the poor V210 before you'll need the power of a ZR6. It would be a fun option though.

I called Sanger to find out if they would put an Indamar in a 215 and they told me they ONLY put in Mercruiser.

If you want to see a 210 come out of its skin have the 8.1 option installed and then install seat belts. If someone is running around with a PCM it is not factory.

Gary did you get to drive that V215 with the 8.1 you talked about? Whats the cost to upgrade to the 8.1?

My MB Sports 190 Plus does 48 on GPS with only the 5.0 so I hope that the 8.1 pushes the Sanger pretty darn fast...
