A wakeboard rack for your car? Just like the snowboard racks ? or am I just dumb and you can use any rack for your wakeboard? I have just never seen it done before.

They don't make them, but if its a good ski rack, you should be fine putting a wakeboard in it on your car.

Just make sure its mounted properly and strong enough, a wakeboard will cause a lot more uplift / wind drag on a rack than a couple snow boards.

Personally....i don't do it. But it is doable, if you are careful.

Most of the time, you can put your board in the car.

My theory is that snowboard racks evolved from Ski racks. It is not easy to fit 180-210cm skis in a car, truck or suv. But then it became kinda cool to have ski racks on your car. So when snowboarding became popular, people used ski racks and had the same mentality. If you are a real baller, you keep your boards in the car or in a box on top.

If I can get two 4.5" thick surf boards on a rack, I think it can be done. Maybe not with a factory ski/snowboard rack, might take a mod or two to space it out & make room for the board thickness.
I made this from a Thule square bar rack. Just made a couple of risers for the rear.
