So i wasn't really sure where to put like an intro thread haha. this is as good a place as any i suppose. new to the forum, my brother told me about it, he lives out in wisconsin. my name is rob, i live in new jersey. i don't own my own boat, but one of my best friends (who's house i'm at at least 3-4 nights a week), his family owns a 2009 mastercraft x45, blue fleck paint, such a beautiful boat. we ride in bordentown, nj most often during the summer.

right now we are in madeira beach, florida... the weather has been a little cold but we are looking to get out on lake seminole tomorrow so we are pretty stoked, last week i somehow caught my toe edge and hit the water face first at about 45... gave myself a concussion haha, gotta get back on the water though.

anyway, hoping to meet some cool people on the site, thats all for now i supppose.

learning the backroll...
needless to say, i didn't land that one haha but i can now land them easy :-)

If you are down for vacation you should definitely head over to McCormicks cable for a sesh. Screw lake seminole, it is like an ocean and there is a high percentage you will get some sort of infection as it is pretty much sewage lol. If you go over to McCormicks (25 minute drive) you can session the cable and take a boat set behind a 220. www.skimccormicks.com . It is off of I-4 east 2 exits passed the casino off the mango/thonotosassa exit, take a left drive about 2 miles, pass the two gas stations then hang a right on pruitt (i believe this is the name of the road) and drive another 2 miles. Go through the stop sign and take a left into the cable park. You dont need any equipment if you dont have any with you, they have everything to rent.

Welcome to WakeWorld from Southern Cal! In the 5 years of reading this forum I've learned an amazing amount of knowledge. If you ever plan on owning your own boat, make sure you check the "Boats, accessories, and tow vehicles" threads. That's where I've found the most usable information personal to me about buying, owning, caring, and maintaining my own boat. Just close your eyes to the "What boat is the best boat?" thread that starts about once a month or two... :-)

oh we brought the boat and everything down here with us :-)

i will see if they are up for something at mccormicks. we normally wakeboard in a channel in the bay, doesnt matter about the salt water since its a closed coolant system. though i do hate being in salt water after a summer on the fresh haha.

if anyone wants to come let me know haha... we might be able to work something out, you just have to bring a girl or two with you haha jk

Lake Seminole isn't that bad! I rode there all summer (and am chattering my teeth this winter) in that lake and haven't died or gotten sick at all! If you look at the DEP site, Lake Tarpon isn't much better! Anyways, Rob, you can find some folk on Lake Sem most Saturdays about 11am, some Tues and Thurs, this winter. Look for the blue Centurion!

well it turns out we went out for a set... and the transmission went on the boat... so last wed and thurs we went to mccormicks... it was a lot of fun, the first day i fooled around on a wakeboard, then the second i used a wakeskate and hit some rails and the big 5' kicker... then finished off the day with a backroll off the kicker on the wakeboard. but now its back to cold NJ, started classes today haha. the boat is down in land o lakes at the dealer being repaired, the next usage is may in north carolina.
