Dean Smith, goes bigger than anyone more consistantly (Lyman and Harris go big, but I've seen them go wake to wake in vids, Smith... not so much)
Pont:

Harf - best contest/free rider, best rider around right now

Rathy - just straight killing it

As a wakeskater I have a hard time watching wakeboarding without getting real bored. As of lately though I have been real into watching the shredtown guys ride with all the winching they have been doing. I love that they are doing something totally different then everyone else while adding their own style to it. I can't wait to see where winching will take wakeboarding in the near future.

I guess that was all kind of off-topic, it made me wonder though if the freeriders of the future will be the wakeboarders that are pushing winching?

Keith Lyman, Randall Harris and Nick Davies (when Nick is free riding cable or boat he is one of the most entertaining riders to watch without a doubt!!)

Larry- What video part has Phil had aside from Relentlass by LF??? The only time i hear about phil is in contests. Ya, he pretty much has every trick, but free riding...I question that...

1) Keith Lyman (Style is sick! Goes huge but can also throw legit style on w2w)

2) Benny G (Im with skyler, he pokes everything like its nothin! He is THE definition of "Style")

3) Shane Bonifay (3rd was a toss up, very hard to pick----Ya shane has hardly any video parts, but when do u ever not enjoying watching that guy ride??? He's got unique style and is a hella smooth rider!)

Those who faught for 3rd- Dean Smith (he just simply kills it).....Danny Harf (legend).....Skyler Fulster (Up and coming ripper...lmao)

Nick Davies (Entertainment)

How about if you and your crew could have one pro rider on your boat for a day, who would it be???

Harley for his smooth style

Dean for going huge and also for having his own style.

Rathy for wht I believe is the best overall skill set. He drops the new hammers first, he goes huge, he has style, and he rules contests. Few guys have all of this.

Codi, Phil has also been in The Truth by Liquid Force

The thing I like about Phil is that he could throw his section in one run and that makes everything real easy for filming and editing.I'm sure his camera guy appreciates the lack of falls :-)

He isn't personally my favorite freerider, but I can fully understand why he would be someone else's. Even though he's a great competitor, that doesnt change that he still has a ton of style in my book. Love his grabbed whirly 5.

Phil's section in The Truth was a jaw dropper. Davies is a blast to watch ride. His S-Bend to blind at PWT Wisco was INSANE.

I agree with what Randy said about Jeff House. Huge spin... then the same huge spin switch and then blind... and then blind switch..

A lot of good names mentioned here, but I would have to say I am going in a totally different direction.

1) Colin Ryan (hands down amazing, this dude rides for Colin and No one Else)
2) Robby Carter (I Love riding with Robby, you can tell he is having a Massive amount of Fun)
3) Josh Palma (Talk about a switch Master!)

Outside of some of the newer and bigger tricks lately, there is only one guy lately that completely drops my jaw...and his name is Nick Davies! His innovation on the water is simply amazing plus I've never seen anybody be able to land blind as well as him. I still love watching guys like Harris and Lyman ride but right now Davies is just so fun to watch.

Ha, ha, ha.... You guys crack me up.

I can't even put together a list. They all kill it. Seeing a pro free-ride in person is a whole different thing than seeing a comp. I've yet to see a pro rider that didn't amaze me in at least one aspect.

haha, didn't realize that if you kill it in contests then theres no possible way you'll ever be a good freerider

Just watched the Rathey video.. Kills it. Then I watched the Hair video on the frpot page. One hammer after another and I love the huge front roll to blind way out in the flats. So many good riders. Most of the ones named in here I have not seen. A lot of old school. Is that an indication of the age group on wakeworld?
Old     (norbiv)      Join Date: May 2009       09-15-2009, 8:17 AM Reply
its probably not lol. dont be stereotyping the wakeworld. there are people from all age groups all around the world, in wakeboarding. in life

it shouldnt . everybody rides with their own steez and the tricks you do are only up to u and the time and effort u decide to spend on the sport. on and off the water
