What is the actual length of the VLX? Catalog says 21' 6"...but I want to know is that with the swim step or without?

Want to see if one will fit in my garage.

Thanks!

It depends on whether or not you are planning on adding the power wedge to it or not. If not the boat on the trailer is 21ft6in with the swingaway tongue and the platform removed. The fiberglass platform is roughly two-two and a half feet, with the power wedge you have to take into consideration of the wedge assmebly as it is always in the up position on the trailer.

Ah, forgot about the wedge.

Thanks for the info!

What tower do you have on the boat? The chrome looks really sharp! Nicely done.

Ryan, I have been up to Norfork a couple times in the past but my family has a place at Heber so we spend most of our time there. We do however spend a week in July of every year at Bull Shoals Lake.

Jeff,
Did you buy a new tow rig????
Old     (jeffr)      Join Date: May 2002       08-23-2005, 9:00 AM Reply
No yet… Traded rigs for the day with a friend... call it a "test drive." She needed a smaller car for the day to deal with parking in the city. Aside from Cliff’s truck I had not towed with a diesel… and no way would I buy a manual tranny.

WOW…Diesel is definitely the way to go for towing! Debating on excursion vs. F250.

Still working out the details on possibly getting a different tow rig and a ‘commuter’ car too.
Old    supra_herman            08-23-2005, 10:06 AM Reply
HEY jeff i have an exursion and it pulls great. I also debated between an f250 and the exursion. It is the exact same diesel engine. The reson i went with the exursion was because it had more passenger room and im always haulin my kids around and need the room. The thing will pull any thing it will pull my 10000 lb baja with ease. The exursion is a lil more expensive than the 250 but its worth it. If u want a new exursion though i woluld hurry cause 05 is the last year for them.

Nope they are using Kicker instead of the Sony equip. Still have sony headunits and remotes but all amps subs and speakers are kicker for 06.

Just picked ours up today.
it came with the wrong hull, diamond instead of the wakesetter :-(

But,
our dealer (Tinus Marine of Oconomowoc, WI), hooked us up with an exact replica. It has a diamond hull but it makes a great loaner until the right one comes. We had already sold our old boat and didn't want to be without for the long weekend.

Looks beautiful though!

no graphics at all brooke? i think it would look pretty slick if there was just the "w" in the front and the rest of the tribal stuff was removed.

NONE, I'm just not a fan of graphics. I probably never will be, they just don't do anything for me other than let everyone else know exactly how old your boat is! When it's new...woohoo, when it gets older...not so woohooo
