A few companies such as wake air and liquid audio offer speaker cans that hold two 6.5s (one facing in each direction). The price is almost the same as a single speaker can. I'm just wondering why these aren't that popular. I don't see anyone using them. Any specific reason? Isn't two speakers better than one? I'm assuming that it might be because they won't project as well to the rider. Can anyone shed some light?

Two speaker pointed in the same direction would be all right, but the tower speakers that point both to the front and back are fairly useless for riding. When was the last time you pulled someone backwards?

Most, make that all, good quality set ups for the tower are for the rider or when you're beached and pointed towards the back. I guess the front pointed speakers would be good for letting people know you are coming--

I had Bazooka tubes that came with the boat that were fr/rear set up, they had the spks wired out of phase, SUCKED, changed to rear project only, much better and you don't piss people off everywhere you go. I went with 6.5' spks/Polks and AUDIOFORMZ.COM fiberglass cans, nice affordable set up
