I just traded for an 03 yukon slt autoride 2500 with the 8.1 123000 miles at my dealership. $7900. Let me know if you want more details.

That's an awesome tow vehicle!
I have 166,000 mi. on my '01 Sub 8.1 and it's still going strong. With 455 ft.lbs. of torque, it's a good match for most diesels.
I love it when I fly by a Powerstroke or a Dura- Max on a grade, and they look over like WTF?

Its ok Chris, cause I know when you finished topping off gas tank looking at the $ total your saying the same thing and getting less MPG's.

Alex, that's a good deal! I just shelled out 13 for my "new" 03 Burban 2500 6.L. 77K miles. Its a sweet ride, good thing I dont drive it much, the 8.1 has got to hurt more. ($)

I promise they are not like WTF. It's more like look at that clown and all the fuel he is sucking down. I had an 8.1 and it was great and it is a fair match to a diesel. The problem is they only get half the fuel mileage of a diesel

does 8.1 stand for the miles per gallon or gallons per mile, i always forget? might be a cheap vehicle but you will make up for it tenfold in fuel cost and frequency to the pump.. those things will pass everything on the road except a gas station..

If you can find a loaded 03 or newer 4 door diesel for less than 12000 grand then you are probably right the diesel is the way to go otherwise that extra 4k that you can save buying this truck will definitely offset the gas for however long you are going to have it. My .02

Nice! I have a feeling that many more of these will be coming onto the market in the next month or two with people so worried about gas prices.
