Maybe I missed it, but how much is the "factory" ballast? It's not listed on mastercrafts website but I remember seeing some state that the factory ballast was 2000lbs.

I guess the real question is how much total weight was the boat running for these pictures?

I was told 1800 & 2000 lbs factory. Plus the above amounts.

Referenced the 2012 line in general, every stab you take at the MC lineup is based on a bunch of QC issues in 2012, and are already fixed for 2013.

Hahaha I love my little puppet MHunter. I don't even need to insult him anymore he just opens his mouth and his horrible syntax and poor reasoning skills do more harm than I ever could.

Mhunter, changed the power tower, went to murphy screens, no plug & play anymore. All 2012 problems were related to the touchscreens essentially.

Has CC taken care of the exploding tranny issues yet? Have they taken care of the other issue, that is, how to sell this boat? Apparently, 2nd biggest CC dealer in world up in Canada has only sold 4 this year and has only 7 slots for next year.

This boat is such a "game changer." Hard to recoup your R&D dollars when your biggest dealers can't even sell what you can count on your hands.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather know what the top few US dealers are doing...

2nd biggest boat dealer in Canada may only sell 10 total boats per year with their short seasons for I know....

I believe he is referring to the 2nd largest CC Dealer in the World... Happens to be our dealer here in Alberta. Not sure who number 1 is? And they happen to be the number 1 dealer for Malibu Worldwide as well...

Love the Color combo on that X-Star Craig. I am a Red fan...

I am assuming you can run the boat with the Screen in the retracted position? That would make for great visibility out the windshield...

@ RPenner Yes sir, you can run the boat with the power dash in the down position. It comes up after a few seconds when you start the boat but it can manually lowered.

@Bill Is there any water in Cypress Springs?

Lake Tyler is nice too.. I like the concrete channel passage way.. lol I sold a 525hp pontoon boat there a few years back so if you get passed at 70mph you'll know where it came from. That thing had racing exhaust and was louder than most Fountains.. The guy that owns it has a super nice Newell bus that he keeps in his garage there at the lake. The garage has an automatic washing system that comes out of the walls and washes the bus every 2 days with ionized water so it doesn't leave spots... lol Only in Texas!!!

Actually Edmonton is the largest mover of MCs. They also have locations in Calgary, Kelowna, Sakatoon, and one other place north of me.

Troy, where are you located?

Oh, and Saskatoon is where they sold Rusty Malinoski's custom X-Star sporting his wrap including his ballast setup and his Rock Star enery drink decals. They just sold it last month. It was pretty slammed, it had like 433 hours on it.

Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Plenty of Canadians around here who come from Alberta. I guess everyone up there is loaded. I've talked to both Martin Motorsports in Calgary and Wizard Lake Marine in Edmonton I think.

thanks Brett... I can't be gettin water spots all over that boat man. lol
Dude, our lake is so low right now it will high center the trailer coming out of the ramp...

DHill, the graphic just sort of came in blue. I didn't realize it would be the same as the rear of the boat. It actually looks kinda cool in person. Everyone at the shop loved the colors on this one. I figured it would be different when i punched it in.. The trailer was the only unknown. I hadn't done one like that yet.. Sometimes you just have to gamble!

alright so by my count that is already at least 6 Stars sold in texas. I have seen 3 come through Texas ski ranch, with another 2 on the way. These boats are sick. I think the thing that most blew me away was how simple these boats are in the interior. They are just smooth and sexy, it is not chunky and gauty inside. things are just hidden away until needed, really bad ass.

craig,
that lime green/black/grey star is definitely the best color combo i've seen so far. I know its not a standard color, but would they let you order one with the green flake as on travis' boat last year? that setup with the green flake would be out of control...

oh, and please please please powdercoat the tower lime green/black...

Craig - How come none of these X-Stars have the power tower? You'd think the flagship tower would be a popular feature on the flagship boat... certainly boats with all the bells and whistles as these appear to have. I mean, why get a 7.4L motor (can't even fathom what that costs), but skip on the power tower?

Or is this what the new power tower looks like? Or has MC stopped making it altogether? I'm confused... What's the scoop?
