To all who attended - What did you think of the riding, on land events, social scene? I personally think it was a much better event than last year.

I did BMX demos and didnt bring my boat this year. I missed my boat. It was cool having wakeboarders there like Randy. Parks Chad sharpe even Dean Lavelle was there. There were alot of YAHOO's there that didnt know jack about any of the sports involved like Moto X, street bikes, BMX, Wakeboarding, Wake surfing, but thats who they make the money from. It was cool but too many drunk idiots. Shasta Boardstock was about FREE LOVE and wakeboarding. Never saw a fight there. It will never be like that again. Security everywhere this year for a good reason.

I didn't go this year for those reasons and it pisses Me off that Konocti was price gouging.

I'll stick with the real wake events like the CIE spring ride and the DRA events etc.

Konocti has been doing some serious price gouging this year.

I guess with all of the security, they have to pay them somehow.

We all had a great time there. All the events were fun. We stayed in Lakeport and had the best water you can ask for the whole day from friday - sun. It was nice to be able to wake all morning, then hit up boardstock and party down, then come back and board for the rest of the night.

Here are some pics of the water conditions we had all weekend.. we saw maybe 4-5 boats the whole time out there

We had a BLAST. Cooler filled with anything we wanted was just ten minutes away in the parking lot. Only paid $20 for entry into Konocti. Next year the boat comes along and I will get a slip @ Konocti. Mike K., nice job jumping up on to the landing ramp for the Moto X. I could'nt believe it when I saw you sizing it up!

Oh, if only I could post my mental images from the weekend.... LOL. I've never seen that many boobs in my life.

I rate the wakeboarding at D-, but the overall show at a B+.

BTW, I never touched my board once during the weekend. I was too drunk to ride by the time the rest of my crew woke up and the lake looked a bit like the Pacific Ocean.

Finally found a few minutes to post about Boardstock, so here it goes.

Had a BLAST!! I am pretty sure I am still drunk though

This was my first big event, and I had a good time. There was a ton of boats, and the tie-up was one of the best times I have had in a long time. Can’t wait for next year!

Thanks a bunch for the whole DRA crew for letting me hang with them. You guys are great! Sorry I did not drag myself out of bed and ride more often, but I had my reasons

) Probably will be seeing more of me. Heck, I may even move up your way sometime.

Huge props to Jessica Oswald for once again winning the Women’s Wakesurfing open class. As your head coach/trainer (ha!), I can say you really deserved the win. Like I told you while we were hanging at the bar waiting for the results, I/we knew you had it in the bag. Not to discount the other riders – everyone was tearing it up, but you definitely deserved the win. The 3’s you threw down really sealed the win for you. We recruited quite a cheerleading section for you. Wish I had better pics of your riding, but I was too busy watching the riding, and drinking, I think. Congratulations again. Hope you make it out again so we can get you trained for the next one.

I totally agree with ya, I wish it wasnt so commercialized - someone told me they were price gouging all over the place again this year? Last year they were charging 40 bucks for a 12 pack and this year I heard it was 15.00 for a hotdog & soda - are you serious???

Sounds like you had a good time by staying away from the actual resort ( camping ) & just going for the day / party. I agree thats the way to go but someone needs to get a handle on this event before it gets even worse ( price wise ) cause 15 bucks for a hotdog n soda is just plain wrong IMO.

Last year it was free to tie up to the line, this year $20 per boat. Last year it was free to enter the bar areas of the resort at night to party, this year $20/person. Sadly, I'm sure they will figure out even more ways to make money, and its such crap. Konocti is really pissing me off...

Oh dude, it gets better.

We went Wednesday night and it was busy. Two of my girls went back Friday and it took them 45 mintues to get the first drink, and 30 minutes to get the second drink. it was getting out of control too. People were reaching over the bar and pouring their own beers. Security was searching for those people.

Needless to say with that and the $20 cover fee and some tri tip on the BBQ we didnt head over there Saturday night.
