Does anybody have any experience weighting a MC tristar? Im looking at getting a couple sacs, Ive got a 540 in the center rear now and want to maximize the wake.
thanks

I use to have one and we ran a 500 pound bag in the back and we acctually put the back seat on top of it. It made a sort of sundeck. Then I had the closed bow so we had about 250 pounds under the bow. Then you add a few people next to the engine and in the passenger seat and you get a decent wake. My only problem was the driver needs to pay attention when stopping otherwise you'll get a good amount of water over the back.

tested the ballast in my open bow tristar this weekend. it rocks and was flawless. had about 6 people in the boat. just filled it up halfway and had a nice wake. when i find a pic I'll post it.

I have 2 fat sacks 400lbs( I think) and 500 lbs of lead. I just got the lead so I will repost once I try it. Plan is 300 in front and 200 in the back sides. Fat sacks on the side of motor. I have problems with the two sacks. With water over the bow when water is choppy or I catch someone elses wake. Will try it out this weekend and let you know.
