I wasn't actually looking to buy... I'm happy with our 210... Just wondering if someone who is in the "Price Point" range if they would go Axis or get a year old something, or just another boat for that price OnlyInboards - That deal is amazing. If I had some money I would be calling you up... Tomcats are in my top 3 for favorite boats.

Out of those three the XLV for sure. More boat for the money and an unbeleivable value for an amazing wake. I personally would look at getting a leftover 08 supra 22ssv for that amount of money. The 22 has the best right out of the box stock ballast wake on the market in my opinion.

How about a loaded Sanger V215. I have seen new 08's loaded for closer to 40k. Crap, I just saw a loaded 2008 V237 for 49k. (Message edited by polarbill on January 24, 2009)

nothing against axis, but my opinion is that u never buy a vehicle/boat in its first year of production. they still have a few kinks to work out.

The Axis at the same price but with more options and pretty much the same wake as the V-Ride/05-08 VLX. I'm pretty sure when my dealer get's them they'll be going closer to 45k loaded. Also, the V-Ride doesn't have the option for the bow ballast. The Axis comes with way more stock/hidden ballast options then the other two.

X1, then take my change and throw some real ballast and a nice stereo at it. These days you can get almost anything new for $50k. I've seen a few '08 X-stars that are basically new with the MCX motor floating around for close to $50k. Now is definitely the time to buy.

That is a good deal on a 237... I donno if my other post got lost but I'm not buying, just seeing how well Axis is going to do because of the amount of other "cheap" boats in their market range.... not looking so hot

Jon Allen--I totally agree with you on the 22 being hands down the best out of the box stock ballast wake. And it only gets better as you stack more weight in.

what boats have you compared it to personally? "hands down best out of the box stock ballast wake" is a pretty bold statement.

I have ridden either behind or in just about every major wakeboat on the market. Ride behind a stock 22 and you will See why we say this.

I agree with Jon and drive 139,its a great boat period but yes no making adjustemnts with sacks or removing tanks needed.the wake is huge, clean and crisp just filling up ballst that came with boat like 2600lbs ,adjusting wakeplate and putting friends on board..No fuss no muss and its priced a few grand less then the other boats in its class.. I dont own one but have been behind many of the 22ssvs on more then a few occasions..

Ok, please take this lightly, I just think stating it as fact is similar to this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUPDRnUWeBA&feature=related Edit to say I have no doubt the 22SSV stock wake is excellent. (Message edited by wakereviews on January 25, 2009)

What I heard about the Epic is that it may be MASSIVE right out of the box but it is too steep for most peoples' liking. Correct me if I'm wrong?

I'm going to have to respectively disagree with Jon, Drive, and Bill. I road both a 22SSV and a F23 Tomcat multiple times last summer. I'd take the stock Tomcat wake 10 times out of 10. I loved the SSV wake (it's massive), but it just wasn't as good as the Tomcat. The SSV wake also seemed to require you to ride at 24-24.5 which is faster than I like. The Tomcat was fine at a considerably lower speed. The only time we had to speed up with the Tomcat was when we had 10+ people in the boat, and even then it was not 24.5. The Tomcat was also less sensitive to wear people road in the boat as far as wash of the wake. I also think the ballast system on the Tomcat is superior. The SSV I went out on took forever to fill. The Tomcat is good to go within two minutes. I'm in no way dogging the SSV wake, I think it's great. I just am disputing the greatest stock wake claim. I don't own either a MB or a Supra, so I'm unbiased.

Have to agree with the X Star choice. Its about as good of a wake as you can buy and the boat looks so bad a$$. I saw a blue/metalic sparkely gel coat X Star this year on my lake and popped a chuby.... Im in love.

Nick, Have you ridden behind the Epic? At $40K, it has got to be the best deal around right now. I am only giving it a little longer to sell as when it starts to warm up a bit, I probably won't be in the "give away mood".

I also have an 08 Tige RZ4, dk blue, ballast, 141 hrs, trailer, upgraded 6.0 400HP, 4-kicker twr speakers with all kicker system for sale. I'd take $47K on it. It is in the middle of being detailed and I will have pics as soon as we're all done. I had 1 seat cushion blow out a few weeks back when taking it to the lake to run it and it is on order. A nice boat at a great buy. I haven't advertised it yet as I was going to wait until late march and I will be pricing it at $52500 when I do advertise it.

It's funny Nautiques haven't been brought up in a lot of these "Help me buy a boat threads" cropping up lately. Probably because everybody LOVES their Nattys resulting in a very limited used market since they retain their value so well. $50K sounds like a perfect range for a SANTE 210... thats just my opinion though.
