There are going to be some epic battles between these two on the comp circuit. They are changing the game.

I agree.

Is Bob going to ride pro next year?

I guess over and above what they will do in the comp circuit, the fact that these young rippers are riding together is going to push them in free riding too.

Tadpole has become a little beast. The only person I've seen than lands blind better than he does is Mr. Malinoski and Shapiro. Plus I like the fact that his older brother is arguably the most technically capable rider in the world and he talks trash to him. I LOVE IT!

Tadpole has become a seabeast and Froggy has become a controversial adult frog, who can't catch a break with any of his peers, nor with his "peer group" of internet users in the male 11-24yr old category.

yeah why does everyone hate on phil? theres no question in my mind he's one of the best riders this sport has ever had.

Roy, multiple PWT sources tell me there are many reasons for it. Its not just keyboard jockeys and people who have never met him.

oh really....go on....

but i will say that i dont see alot of merit in the 'phil has no style' or 'phil doesnt go big enough' arguments. i love wathcing him ride. its impressive.

Why wouldn't he ride Pro next year? There doesn't seem to be anything left for him in Jr. Men's.

Eubanks,

I am with you, I almost think that once you win the JRs you should have to ride pro, keep the Jr's Fresh. But then again winning is fun, so why not ride Jr's again.

Isn't there better money potential and sponsor options once you go Pro?

Way more not to mention just prize money.

My limited interaction (outside of a contest setting....relaxed amongst a group of mutual friends) with Phil, is the guy is full of himself. Comes off as a d-bag.

didnt Chris Williams do this trick first? I wanna say he called it a mamma-jamma, or something like that?
Old     (romes)      Join Date: Sep 2006       08-27-2009, 1:42 PM Reply
i think he stuck one last year at that norcal vs socal hype thing right al?
Old     (wakeviolater)      Join Date: Sep 2004       08-27-2009, 1:49 PM Reply

WakeViolater,

Yeah there is video somewhere of CDubs sticking that trick!
Old     (liquidmx)      Join Date: Jun 2005       08-27-2009, 3:02 PM Reply
Agreed, C-dubs has a pretty good looking one...likely grabbed. He also had a vid floating around of a DERTY T2B. Someone else mentioned that the trick should be called a "3 two 1" or 321. Which is how I have referred to it.

Here's the video. Let's see what Soven has on this. http://www.norcalhyperlite.com/pages/video_northvssouth.html

Chris's was wrapped and off axis too. Soven passes on axis and then lands wrapped.

Both of them have to be hard as hell

Dude... That move from Williams was sick. PROPS.
Old     (gherk)      Join Date: Aug 2001       08-27-2009, 9:22 PM Reply
Chris' looks more like a 5 with the rewind 3.
Old     (srh00z)      Join Date: Jun 2003       08-27-2009, 9:28 PM Reply
I have seen another video of Williams I think?? From a different angle maybe?
Old     (wakeslife)      Join Date: Jul 2005       08-27-2009, 10:08 PM Reply
That rewind was tight as hell in the video jrod posted. And that heel frontflip off the doubleup was insane!
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       08-28-2009, 6:59 AM Reply
As someone mentioned above, he does a Mobe Dick, but without the last 180. Like a Tanny to Blind but with the handle pass off the wake. All kinds of unique stuff from Chris.

Chris is one of my favorite riders to watch. I remember when I first moved to cali, and watching he toss HS BS OA trick way before anyone else. He just has a different vision of the sport. Really reminds me of Sean O'brien in the sense that he is quietly making the sport progress in a major way.

hs fs 3 to bs 180.....

Holy hell that is sick looking. As said before, these guys are definitely upping the ante for the rest of the pros.

if we are giving credit to the trick, I believe Ryan (spintowin here on ww) landed it first. Cdubs took it to another level though.
