well if you are like me your sick of winter and ready to get back out there, but i have a problem i need help with. last august i sprained my MCL and LCL and am still having on and off problems with it. i need a waterproof knee brace that is sturdy and able to take some abuse. i need one that supports lateral movement and limits my ROM from my heel to thigh. anybody have any names and prices. i have already seen an orthopedic a week after it happened but she said that i would not have any problems in early 2008, obviously mistaken. would love some input.

i wear the cti2 custom braces. mine does not have rom limitation. I am sure that you can get that option. They are rather expensive, if you don't have insurance. I have tried a brace from a company called Breg. I tried there high impact style brace, and it did not hold up to riding, for me. im sure others have had good luck. get a cti, you can;t go wrong...my $.02

try doing a search on knee braces. there are a lot of topics on them.

that said, i have a cti2 that i use and like it. it seems pretty heavy compared to the cti vapor brace, tho.

cie al has a really cool brace made by bledsoe. i had never heard of them till i saw his and that is a nice brace.

I have the Bledsoes and I am not a big fan. There are too many straps with velcro that are always falling off while riding. I have been through 100 bucks in replacement straps after one season. I would recommend trying on a variety of brands before you pick one.

I have a Bledsoe AXIOM knee brace it has yet to see the water. I wear it for basket ball and I cannot be more happy with it. With the previous braces I have had in the past my knee would be sore after I would play. Now there is no soreness at all and I am alot more confidant running & cuting. The brace is heavy though. One of my friends has a Carbon Fiber Brace and it is the lightest brace I have ever held. I cannot remember who makes it though.
