This is my boat, its a great all around family/boarding boat and throws a decent wake when loaded down. Cant wait to return from deployment with the US NAVY to use it again. Any other Monterey owners out there???Upload

Purchased a new 194 last season - outfitted with the "wake package" (tower, swim platform). Love the boat but kids are progressing faster than I thought so will probably move to an inboard next season. Throws a decent wake, and has a wonderful ride. Never added any ballast in order to attempt a bigger wake. If you guys have any suggestions, let me hear them as I do not care to bite the bullet again.

As stated, thanks for serving our country!

I guess you cant beat the wake of a dedicated "tow boat" but they just cost so dang much. We were looking for an all around family boat and I think it serves its purpose well. My kid is doing tantrums and such behind ours. It throws a big wake loaded down with about 6 people. Im planning on getting board racks and speakers when I get home. Id suggest addin

Id suggest adding some ballast bags for weight, might help out instead of spending all that cash on a new boat. Worth a shot right?
