i need some help

ok i got an hd gopro camera and i can't get the videos into windows movie maker the sound plays but i can't get any actual video it opens in itunes and quicktime but nothing else i'm lost do i need to buy an editing program?

what format is the camera outputting the video files as? if its .mov, i dont think WMM allows those files. if thats the case, good news is you should be able to convert the files to .avi or .wmv (recommend .avi), and use those converted files in WMM. mpeg-4 is the kinda files its saving as iv'e never even heard of those
