Lake bachelor party

So...I'm getting hitched in September and I have given orders to my guys that I wanted to spend a weekend at a nearby lake for my bachelor party. My attempt at avoiding the trouble that can be associated with pro-strippers and other club antics. I plan on leaving my Centurion at home, which is why I'm posting this here. Main plan is to rent a pontoon and troll the party cove.

But I'm looking for ideas for camp activities (ie: drinking games, and such). Truth be told, I'm just looking forward to controlling the music, as my girl usually runs it. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

The most fun we had at my brothers party was jsut sitting in the back corner of a bar swapping old stories. I got to hear more from his college buddies and I definately had a few storys to tell that they hadnt heard.

But as far as games, Beer Pong is always good. Ring the Bull is always good if you already have it setup, if not could take too much effort especially at a rental. A poker game if your friends like to play. Pretty much any tailgating game would work and goes well with drinking. There are tons of card based drinking games.

Had my bachelor party on a lake. My brother ( best man ) rented a house boat. we also took a few boats with us. Had an awesome weekend. One word of advice...no cameras...no cameara phones/camcorders. Not that anything inaaprpriate will happen, but some things in life are better left undocumented IMO. and bachelor parties are one of those.

I love when guys say "no strippers" at bachelor parties. That is the green light for me. You have to have strippers!

Don't marry a woman that would freak out over strippers at your bachelor party. It will only get worse.

I have had and put on a few lake bachelor parties they are the best. I would take at least one boat everyone likes to shake off the hangover with a good morning set then let the games begin. I agree with trace if they freak out over strippers it's only going to get worse.

Check out a little lake here in TN called Center Hill. Rent a cabin or houseboat near Sligo Marina and top your trip off with a visit or two to Midnight Express. Google Midnight Express, Smithville, TN. Its worth your time. hahah

This reminds me of a time when I hosted my neighbors bachelor party on the lake. He (the bachelor) wanted to rent a boat with him and 8-9 of his buddies. I offered that they could "rent me and my boat" and I could drive them to wherever or do whatever as long as they paid for gas. All was good until they showed up on the lake with no beer, no food and also wanted to tube. It turns out I was the only one who drank (the driver) all day. They had to be off the water by 6 so they could all go eat at Roadhouse together, which was essentially the end of the bachelor party. Real fun.

I had my bachelor party on the lake -- took out the boat -- had a blast. We ended up on a houseboat with a bunch of 50+ year old swingers -- that turned bad times real quick. If you get a van -- get the rental insurance. I actually got the van for my own party -- cause i was flying in -- and i got the insurance. Good think - my drunk friends dove through the window at 7am after a hella bender at the casino. All in all good times. Congrats on getting married.

Btw - I was anti-stripper -- I got little use for having some skanky-leg dripping acidic vaginal juice all over my vinyl. Have fun with your bros, hit up the party cove, and throw down on a wakeboard -- it'll be a blast.

FYI: Never said I was against strippers, just wanted a relaxing weekend. Going with 10 other intoxicated, type A personalities to a strip club is not my idea of relaxation.

The following game doesn't sound like much on paper, but give it a few minutes....
Clyde Ball: (1) softball, lots of beer, and red beer cups. Everybody has a (almost) full red beer cup and stands in a social circle (approx extended elbow to extended elbow).....beer held in dominant hand. The game is simply catch. Start tossing the ball around the circle (in no particular order) catching and tossing with the empty (non-dominant) hand. Gentle underhand tosses, not trying to take anybody out. Toss must be above the knees and sort of below the shoulders. Drink on missed catch, bad throw. If you go for a bad throw and miss...then it's a miss, and careful you don't spill. Group Kangaroo court is final....additional penalty assessed for belly aching. Keep the circle tight and the ball moving quickly. Snow-cone somebody (softball in the beer cup)...that's a full beer. Drop the cup (provided it's not a bean ball as decided by Kangaroo court)...that's bad too. It's a casual, social game of catch. Anybody and everybody can play. You just need to play for a few minutes to recognize the appeal. Once the game is going you will start to see "plays" like a guy put's his left hand up but slightly behind the neighbor on the left (signal for the alley-oop. Other guy on the neighbor's left says something to draw neighbor's attention for a split second...ball tossed high for the alley-oop to snow-cone the neighbor. Carefull coming in / out of the circle...every cup is in play all the time. The key is keep it casual, keep the circle tight, keep the ball moving, and keep your eye on the ball all the time.

This is a game that I first heard about / played in college back in the day. Years and years later we still play it. People that haven't played always think it's stupid....until they play. Btw in my experience there are only people that play the game and few that loose, nobody "wins" this game.

I also had my bachelor party on a Lake. One party barge boat and one wakeboarding boat and 14 guys. It was a blast. Great choice! I am sure you guys will come up with your games. Have fun!

I had my bachelor party up at a remote lake and I loved it! We got a big campsite away from others and were loud and stupid and didn't have to worry about disrupting others. I didn't bring our boat, but my friend brought his and we had a jetski as well. Swapping stories and passing the bottle was a lot of fun. The best thing was no women, no cell phones, no drama!

For the 4th I made floating beer pong and put some LED lights in it to play at night. Super fun and we all know how beer pong works...feel free to use my patent pending design! Just need an anchor and several cases of beer...

Another simple game is make everyone drink out of there opposite hand. If they get caught, they have to chug the rest of their beer. This works well if you incorporate a football that can only be caught with one hand or the same consequence.

Ben, I know they make the rafts, but sometimes I have a hard time spending money for someone elses forethought... And with the LED lights around each side with tinted clear cups from CostCo this thing rocks at thing.
I have 4 fun noodles in this. 24ft of 1/2" pvc, a bunch of connection points and 2 sheets of plexi glass.A hole saw works the best for cutting the holes for the cups. Then a couple of water proof LEDs adhered to the sides to light it all up and you have one hell of a beer pong table! The center section is tupperware that holds the 16v depth finder battery to power the LEDS.
Note: gets a lot harder when there are waves. I recommend playing at night when traffic is at a minimum.

that beer pong raft is pretty cool, nice idea. but cutting holes into the plexi to fit the cups, doesn't that make it easier to sink a ball in the cup and disallows for rim jobs? (no not that kind)

I thought it would change the game that way, but surprisingly it didnt take away the rim job effect. We did notice that since the cups are held in place that you dont get as many "points" when the ball hits the rim, they tend to bounce harder away from the table because they are hitting a harder object.
