New Years Tampa

Hey all. Just wanted to see what if any plans were in the works for New Year's.

We're thinking of either going to Orlando to CityWalk or staying here and going on a New Year's cruise. I think it's something like a 5 course meal and all you can drink - and not overly expensive. If we head to Orlando, we'll probably have a nice dinner somewhere and then stay in City Walk or Pleasure Island for drinking and etc.

We have some friends coming in town, so if anyone has any good ideas, then share - we gotta put on a good time for them!

probably gonna hit up church street in o-town. however pleasure island is always an option because we are staying at one of the hotels right there.

Well if I get enough people interested I would throw a party at my place. Or I was thinking of getting a decent sized crew together to preparty then head out somewhere else. I know some individuals are sketchy about the whole driving thing on New Year's though.

That cruise sounds cool where does it leave from?

I work closely with FDOT, and I know for a fact that they are putting a DUI checkpoint out by the casino that night, so be careful and take a taxi !

David,
Are you talking about one of those dinner cruises ??? I went on the one out of Clearwater, and had a blast !

Clay - yes, I think it's like a dinner cruise. I don't know all the fine points, but I think it leaves around Harbour Island somewhere. I went to a wedding reception on one of those boats this summer and it was awesome.

Michele - I agree, I'm trying to limit the driving to little or none - you know the law will be out in full force.

I say we find out a little more about this cruise. We could probably get a good deal on a shuttle or two. They seat 6-8 people. Lets research.

All right smart ass. I typed in New Years Cruise Tampa. All I got was 5 day cruises to the caribean. Though I do admit to being a tad flaky at times I attribute it to my ADD.
