Are the tweeter grills on the Polk/MOMO MMC650 6-1/2" speakers metal or plastic? The locations for two of the speakers would be on the short wall between the rear seat bottom and the floor. Basically it is a prime kicking location and just want to make sure they will hold up.

had 'em on my last boat and they sounded great

Thanks - doesn't seem like the MOMOs can be beat for the price.

you know come to think of it, you should triple-check. I'm pretty sure they are though. nubu would know as i think he has them still. i know for sure the DB1000 tweeters are metal, i had a pair of those too. and i'm pretty sure the momos are too, they'd almost have to be since you can tweak the angle on them. just would hade to be wrong.

They are plastic, don't know where you got the metal grill idea from bruce. Mine are plastic.

The tweeter grills are metal I just checked to make sure. The speaker grill is plastic though but very strong. The tweeter does swivel and points down alot of the time so you may want to super glue it. Great speaker other than that though.

I just replaced 2 Momo 10's and 2 sets of Momo components in a Baja boat a few weeks ago with Wet Sounds WS-650's and 2 WS 10FA's. Huge difference in teh sound quality, even with the same amps. The owner of the boat hated the Momo's since day one.
