I am installing 2 sets of JL M770's in the boat. I currently have a JL A4300 amp rated at 75 x 2 @ 2 ohm and 12.5 volt. This means I'll be getting 37.5 W to each speaker and up to 55 W at 14.4 V. The speakers are rated at 100 wpc. I'm wondering whether I would actually benefit much by powering them up to say 75 wpc. Given the expodential power required to get noticable volume increases.
