I feel something strange when I throttle up the boat. I've only noticed it a few times...basically it feels like something is slipping for a split second when throttling up.

My heater is also leaking water...it's been working fine since de-winterizing it.

if your heater is leaking water it most likly got water in it over winter, froze then cracked. same thing happen to me this year.

I've used the heater a few times since the start of the season...do you think it could have taken a few times to show up?

When you say "throttle up", do you mean begin accelerating in gear, or revving the engine while out of gear? If in gear, I would think your transmission unit is slipping. Have you checked the fluid? When it is low, the transmission will slip. Hope that helps.
