Julia and Dad behind the X2. This will work your legs out and test your skills. Both my kids love to surf!

Darryl - That is awsome and such a good time for both riders. I've done that a few times, but have more fun with my 8yr standing on the board infont of me. I have a video where we got way too far back, and I had to hold him out front of the board over the water to get back in the sweet spot. Nothing but good times!!!

What is the best way to start if you are going to ride with one of your kids? I have been wanting to try it.

Johnny,
Have them get between your legs and rest on your chestand hold on to your arms. Then just get up in the normal way.

Thanks guys!! I have my daughter bear hug me and then I get up. To put her on my shoulders she gets behind me in the water and holds on to my shoulders like she is riding my back, then climbs to my shoulders. She is 4 with no fear, and I am 6'4" so that must be a rush for her.

That is so cool! Love the smile on your daughters face! You're a good Dad Darryl, keep up the involvement of the grommets. :-)

Thanks Jeff!!! Going out today, it should be about 75 degrees here in AZ and the water is still about 72 or 73 degrees. I have an X2, but I am going out with my buddy today to surf behind his x45... going to bag about an extra 1000lbs in that baby. It should lay a monster wake.

Had the temp wrong... 86 degrees today. We have a long season here in AZ. Jeff, I use to live up near you and use to go to the same lakes you do. Miss all the lakes in CA!

Small world! We hit a contest every April that the AzWA puts on at Lake Pleasant in Two Cows Cove. You folks DO have a long season!

We are headed to New Hogan today, our air temps are projected to be close to 78-80...the water temp is in the low 60's, though. Jumping in that first time is "refreshing". :-)

Been a few years since I went to Hogan. I use to live in Antioch, we would do the Delta, Hogan, Don Pedro, Berryessa, and Shasta. I hauled my boat from Phoenix to Shasta over Labor Day this year... I love that lake. Currently I live 15 minutes from Lake Pleasant here in AZ so we are out every weekend. Have a great time today Jeff!!!

Darryl. I started my kids the same way. I'm not sure it's a good idea. Have you figured what a good wakesurf boat will cost when they are 15?
