go to wakesurfer.com. I like it better than both of those boards. I haven't ridden the phase 5, but I heard it was real hard to ride. I have ridden the inland...like a real surf board better. Let me know if you are interested in a shoreline.

i personaly like the phase 5 , its a little tricky to ride but its relly manuverble , the wakesurfer.com boards look like a surfboard 2 me

How far is Bellevue Washington from Portland, pretty far I guess. Maybe you could hook up a ride with Jeff Page at Inland Surfer.

An even better solution would be to find someone with the skills to make a board customized to your weight and riding preferences.

I'm not saying you can't find a VERY capable board right off the selves but it's NOTHING like having a board made for YOU.

I have never heard of anyone customizing a skim style board. Are you holding out on us?

Not to bad mouth Phase 5, they put a quality board, if not overly innovative for wakesurfing. There are a TON and I mean a TON of skimboards on the market. The uber-talented skim boarders ride behind the boat without the fin. If you remove that single attachment, there must be 80 different manufacturers out there and hundreds of different designs. I've seen what appears to be designs that would be better suited for wakesurfing than the tried and true Phase 5/Zap/Vic outline. Does anyone have any input on a non-traditional skimmer being used behind the boat?

yep, I'm holding out big time

All Phase 5 did was stick a wakeboard fin on their Comp and Egg models (not really considered highend in the skimboard world) The secret I'm guarding takes that several steps further and is designed purely with wakesurfing in mind.
