I recently put 800lbs of lead in my boat. 400lbs up front and same in the rear. Do I need to move the lead around a bit when towing? I noticed quite a bit of "bounce" as there's an extra 400lbs of tounge weight. Do I move it over the axles for tow?

Just tow it you wuss, you have a 1 ton truck. Or put more weight in it and you will look like you have bags in the back, that way you can be half as cool as me. Snoogins.

Check you trailer rating and weigh the rig with and without the boat. You don't want to overload the trailer, have a problem, and have insurance deny the claim.

or just through the lead out of the boat when the adjuster comes.

I towed my old X-2 all the time with lots of lead on the boat. Left 900lbs in it all the time. The extra lead in the boat will tear up your trailer jack and the tranny in your truck.

NO doubt on the trailer jack. I just broke my second in less than two years. Dosent somebody make a heavy duty jack that will go on the standard welded knob?

900 extra lbs will tear up a truck tranny. I say it would time to move up to full size towing rig
