Whats the best way to time your pop/release on a ts backroll. I can never get the pop that I need to take it w2w or out in the flats. I can land them but I always ended landing between the wakes or on top of the other wake.

hey jim i havent been landing this trick long but i have never landed in the middle of the wake. it sounds like you just need to hold the line a little longer with the trailing hand. i also try to grab indy(which i havent done yet) which speeds up the rotation which may also help. good luck

I had this problem for a while too, and found I wasn't bending my knees on my approach, although you don't bend your knees that much on toeside jumps, a little bit helps, bend them a bit, and pop at the wake, I usually mentally tell myself to wait for the pop as well.
