Shapiro rode behind a helicopter in the promotional video 'Expression Session'. I think that video was released in 95' or 95'. He's riding a directional board (Shapiro pro model) with sandals in the Arctic.

it looks to me that riding behind a helicopter is like riding a cable...you can do the exact same things...
