My wife and I will be in Asheville NC during the Christmas holidays. We will be visiting our daughter who is in school up there. Is anybody going to be riding during the holidays? We would be riding in Mississippi if we were home but I assume it may be too cold in NC. Are there any good lakes near Asheville? Merry Christmas to everyone.

Lake Jocassee is an excellent lake, about an hours drive from Asheville. We usually go there and camp and wakeboard every summer. Unfortunately, it will be too cold to wakeboard, unless you bring your wet/dry suit.

You would need to road trip to a heated lake this time of the year--the heated lakes are all 1.5 to 3 hours away from Asheville.
