Hey all, I was checking out the malibu website and I noticed that the ride series has a sv 23 wake hull, but the wakesetter series has a v 25 hull. Does anybody know the difference, as far as wake and handeling chop?
just curious

I have owned both hulls and currently own a wakesetteron the V25 hull. They both will handle great with the gorilla fins and I feel that they both handle chop well.

The difference is in generations of the Hull, the ride series has the 2004 VLX Hull. The V25 is a wider version of pretty much the same hull.

The ride series are based on the old wakesetter series hull. The new v25 hull came with the 2005 models.

I hav 03 Vlx with the 23 hull and the 06 Vlx with the 25 hull. Both are sweet wake and ride. The 25 hull is wider and gave the boat more room inside and length.

Both handle the double ups great. The 06 25 hull has a better wakesurfing wake and bigger wakeboard wake. The hull is wider so the wake is also wider. Both nice and rampy. 23 hull was a more of a narrow wake which was nice for first time wake to wake boarders.
