still planning on it. is it going to be as many pulls behind the demo boats as well, or should I try and line up another ride for down there? I am very interested in hitting a rail for the first time.

there will be 4 boats and a jetski so i would think that there will be enough pulls going around and if not there are enough friendly canyon lake people around that im sure you could find a pull at late notice.

that said i will be headed up tomorrow morning hoping to get there around 12 or 1 but im excited, should be a really fun couple of days.

It was a fun day of slider building and I'm pretty proud of what we accomplished. Thanks to Steve Bates for providing the lumber, hardware and know-how! Thanks to Jeff House, Wade from California Correct Craft and Josh for all their help as well.

Randy Harris, Kyle Murphy and Melissa Marquardt were riding in the channel while we were building, so that was some great entertainment as well.

Here are a few pics of the process and the final product (almost)...

For those that need directions...

Access the Channel via Lakepoint Park by taking the Diamond Drive offramp and heading west. Turn right on East Lakeshore Drive and go roughly 1.5 miles and you'll see the park on your left. Park and walk all the way through the park to the Channel and you can't miss it.

is it wetsuit riding down there???? THAT LOOOKS COLD
Old     (wakeworld)      Join Date: Jan 1997       04-25-2007, 7:25 AM Reply
No, they were just wearing them cuz they were in the water for so long (and they're pussies). Jeff went without for most of the day and so did I. The water temp is actually quite nice.

I was in Elsi last Saturday and we must be a bunch of pussies because we all threw on our wetsuits!!
Old     (big_ed_x2)      Join Date: Jul 2004       04-25-2007, 9:13 AM Reply
I don't know.....dry suit for me possibly.
Old     (stephan)      Join Date: Nov 2002       04-25-2007, 9:18 AM Reply
The only reason for drysuit is to keep the munge that infects Elsinore off you. Did the temp drop after the Canyon Comp? I trunked that. Pu$$ies.
Old     (dakid)      Join Date: Feb 2001       04-25-2007, 9:49 AM Reply
drysuit???? in april??????
Old     (big_ed_x2)      Join Date: Jul 2004       04-25-2007, 10:01 AM Reply
I'm bringing it so at least I have a choice.

What's the water temp like?
Old     (committed)      Join Date: Jul 2005       04-25-2007, 10:21 AM Reply
The temp is mid to late 60's. It just like the Ocean in the summertime. Don't rock the suit in the summertime, so. It's supposed be 80 plus air temp today as well.

What about them sliders? Word on the water is, they are staying in the channel for more than a minute. Any truth to these bastions of information?

I was there today and It was HOT!! The water was about 64 deg. No wetsuit needed just maybe a heater top. get there early for good water because the wind kicked up around 2pm and it got choppy.
