The best looking lights on those boats are the factory mastercraft lights IMO.

can u post a pic of the mastercraft ones, also which aftermarket ones are brightest for $400 to $500 range?

Do you already have tower speakers? If not, get the combo factory speakers/lights. The lights definitely look the best, may want to upgrade the speakers but the best looking by far.

yeah i have and HSE Trident box that takes up a lot of room. i would like to stay away from the mastercraft light bar even though i like it and may end up getting it only because its $1200 for 3 lights. im new to wakeworld so i dont know how to post pics.

if you want bright lights look into HID lights,,,lostpro.com has some. you cna also search the net and make soem your own. by far the brightest. I reccomend more of a spot pattern (pencil beam), and use yellow/amber bulbs if your in area where bugs are a problem.

These face the back and the ones in the speakers face front. MC towers are pre wired in 07 for lights as well as speakers.

thanks bro its made by HSE Trident. it is so loud that people on the dock 300 yards away can hear it and its clear and crisp from that range too. check out his website his name is Jim Aikins. http://www.hsetrident.com

not to jack a thread but how do these compare to nvs or wetsounds

Yea, I am aware of HSE. They look really good. I often wondered why you never hear much about them.

hey no prob bro i like HSe more than NVS because its one solid box for 4 speakers and 2 horns instead of 2 sperate boxes. Hse gets a better sound out of it beacuse its in one box and the way the box is made also HSE uses 8s instead of 10s, which i like bacause of the better head clearence. i havent really looked at wetsounds so i couldnt tell ya about that

well HSe is still a fairly new company but u are really starting to see or i should put hear a lot more on the water especially im norcal because its based out of stockton. so give it more time and ull hear more of them out in your state.

Thanks for the HSE compliments. I would not be an unbiased opinion of how they compare with NVS and Wetsounds, but I would say they all have comparable performance as far as being able to hear while riding. They are all packaged differently so depending on the look you like that can sway your decision. Each of them have their own distinctive tone. A good resource if you have questions would be to call Jim at Neptunes, (209) 466-8863 he has over 20 years experience and also carries and installs all three.

Are 2006 X-2 towers pre wired for speakers and lights also?

Michael, you would have had better head clearance witheh NVS. if you take a look at the way the NVS are designed (the 10 inch drivers) I woudl guess the HSWe trident hang the same distance down fromt he tower or maybe even more. Look at the NVS the top of the speaker is usually even with the top of the bar they are moutned too. Most (like HSE) hang below the bootom of the bar they are moutned too. Must give NVS props for this design function. I know the (wetsoudns) pro 80's hang slight lower than the 1010's.

How much is the HSE Trident? I don't see an MSRP on their website.

The HSE Tridents range from about $1900-$2500 depending on the scheme. The website is still under construction, but there is single color, two tone options of gel coat and/or metal flake, carbon fiber, carbon kevlar, options of different accents on the carbon fiber. I hope that helps a bit, once more pictures are available as more are built it will help clarify, but there can be many ways to trick out the appearance.

I was able to listen to all of the pro audio setups this weekend.

The four pro 80 setup had the fullest sound of the all systems I listened to, and it looks real clean on the tower.

The threesome system sounded good, maybe just a little too bright, and I didn't like the looks of it on the tower.

Ben's two 485's were loud and clear, and looked ok on the tower but I couldn't get a good idea of how they would sound by themselves with his bass pounding so hard.

The NVS setups were extremely loud, but really bright sounding, and they look huge on the tower.

The Trident system was clean, loud, and good looking on the tower. A couple things keeping me on the fence is the way it attaches, and the price compared to the four pro 80 setup.

It's killin me trying to decide between the four pro 80, or the Trident. For this kind of coin, I want to make sure I'm making the right choice.

Cliff,

Not to make the decsion even more difficult, but how many of those guys were running eq's on their tower setups? I statred using an eq on my tower back when I had the Evid 6.2's. IMO the best sounding pro audio setups I've heard have eq's fine tuning them.

NO the 2006 X2 does no come prewired. Beware of factory wiring - they had all 4 tower speakers run off one line from the amp. Just hopped between the 4. We rewired. I am not sure how the 07s are.

Thanks Andrew, my 06 will be here Monday and I will be adding tower speakers, another amp, and another sub next week.
