i have a torn miniscus (sp?) and have surgey planned for end of august, but i am going on a trip to lake shasta the week before and wanted to do some mellow riding. i was thinking a support brace might be a good idea.

Ortho-Tech, not sure where you will find them I used to waterski jump with the inventor and bought them direct. I would recommend getting them for both knees, the hinges are not friendly when they contact the naked knee in a fall. At least get a sleave type brace for you good knee.

you can go to sports authority and pick up one for very light and non aggressive riding. Also try Nevin i have one of theres too. They are under $100 and are ok. Bascily used for light activity but they work. Just eat plenty of advil cause it's going to hurt and the end og the day.
