I agree with Tim. There is no spin at all. It apears to be a half flip/half spin rotation.

But I will say that is one of the craziest things I've ever seen.

It looks kinda barrel roll like. I wouldn't call it a mobe, but its definetly sick.

Off-axis 3 or off-axis back flip? Interesting...they're the same thing.

You can try this: Cut out a little motorcycle, stick a coffee stirrer through it, and twist the stirrer 360 degrees.

If it's perpendicular to the paper (90 degress from vertical), you get a flip.

If you tape it to the side (vertical), you get a 360.

Stick it in 45 degrees from vertical and you get this thing.

I would argue that since the axis in this case is greater than 45 degrees from vertical, this would be an off-axis back flip.

a mobe? no. I'd say an off-axis 360. He just whips it out and keeps whippin' it. It's a 360.

Yeah, I agree with you Nick. In the big air comp he did a plain backflip that was a little off axis, nothing more.

Did you see the 13 year old kid that one the street skateboarding? Pretty impressive run for someone so young and he has to be stoked with the money - the X Games pays really well!
