It's stretchy (has to be, no zippers or buckles) but stays put for the most part. You have to stack pretty hard for it move around and its not bad when it does. Drawstring at the bottom is great. cinch that booger down and its good to go. It doesn't drain out very well when you pop up b/c of this but thats easily fixed. Good NCGA vest w fairly good floatation. I've had mine for 2 years and its still in good shape. Even had a fat guy in it once b/c it was the only vest on the boat and its still fine. Mine's a large, get a small if that's your size. Sizes are accurate.
