Anyone use this stuff? I am wiring up 1/0 and 4 gauge in my boat right now, and I am finding that this wire will not fit in any of my 1/0 lugs, fuse holders, etc. What is that all about? I've always used Ancor marine wire and haven't had this issue, but I decided to save myself a ton of money and use something for car audio. When I strip this wire the strands are just too much to fit into anything.

Did you get the CCA stuff? (KCA Line)

Or the Kolosus flex stuff?

I'd stay away from the CCA stuff on the market for exactly this reason. From an install point of view the price savings is not worth the headache. And ultimately all that copper in the good wire is worth it.

Well I didn't want to make that assumption... until I heard from Grant...

I have 1/0 Knukonceptz OFC and it required 2/0 awg terminal lugs.

I got the CCA stuff :-/
Whatever, I can get 2/0 lugs and 2 ga for my 4 ga stuff I'm running to amps. But the friggen 4 ga stuff won't fit in my older XXK arc audio amps. This wire is absolute BS. Haha I guess I'll continue to fight with it.

Run a sharp knife around the wires were you cut the coating back, and thin the wire out so that itll fit.

I just ordered 2/0 lugs for my battery switch and terminals, and went back to Ancor 4ga for the amps that weren't accepting Knukonceptz 4ga. Luckily I had some left over from my last wiring project. What a pain!

For power cables I use marine approved tinned wire. It won't oxidize and turn green as quick as the car wire.

Stay away from the CCA stuff Grant!

You are better off getting the good copper stuff. CCA stuff will last you a couple years then oxidize to crap!!!

Yep - I really can't believe I accidentally bought that stuff. I'm not sure how I missed that. Maybe I was tired and confused my acronyms... CCA vs OFC. Maybe I thought Knukonceptz only sold OFC, because everyone said it was decent stuff.

Anyway, I'll see how long it lasts :-/
